Meet Our Founder
Eric develops leaders and management teams to improve business performance through a growth mindset. He builds resilience with senior teams using strategic planning offsites, culture change, innovation labs, team coaching, and other methods.
His client list includes Microsoft, Hawaiian Airlines, Ford, GitHub, IBM, The Coca-Cola Company, Disney, and Novartis among many others. He works in the digital transformation space (Cloud + AI, mixed reality, engineering, UX, devices, etc.).
He coaches leaders to build highly engaging cultures through a blend of financial, organizational, and psychological insights.
Having grown up internationally in forty-two countries, Eric is at home in highly ambiguous, complex, and challenging environments. He excels in delivering strategically important culture and leadership initiatives tied to top or bottom line improvement. Some highlights include:
Serving as CEO of a UCLA-based Internet healthcare startup. Guided the raising of capital, management of technical teams, marketing, and finally engineered the successful roll-up of the company into a bricks-and-mortar diagnostic company in a $100m transaction.
Adding $17 million to the bottom line of a global oil services firm through a creative problem-solving engagement with the senior team. Improved team engagement and performance across three continents, sped up inventory flow and improved on-time pipeline delivery.
Eric taught classes in change management and consulting at UCLA and UC Irvine Business & Management extension schools. He pioneered research on Social Resilience through a long-term study of how people thrive in the midst of chaos. He once taught a leadership course in Antarctica to a select group of Fortune 500 executives who lead alternative energy businesses. He has a M.S. in Organizational Complexity from the University of Hertfordshire (UK) and a Ph. D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology (US).
He has led consulting practices for three publically traded firms at the Western US (Right Management), EMEA (Oliver Wyman), and Global level (Heidrick & Struggles) before founding his current firm. He leads strategic planning on the board of an Orange County, CA non-profit organization that brings therapeutic arts to at-risk or disadvantaged children to improve their educational and financial opportunities.
